It’s a hybrid between a melee bruiser and a magic user, with abilities like Sun Shield giving you bonus health for extra survivability and Solar Flare letting you turn that defence into raw offence. When you combine that with Luminous Shards for wide-range attacks, you end up with a class that’s durable, flexible, and capable of ridiculous damage spikes. It’s one of those classes that looks simple at first but becomes incredibly rewarding once you start stacking bonus health and chaining abilities together.

In this video, I go through every Templar ability in detail, show how to upgrade to the master side, and talk about the best race and skill line choices to make the most of it. I also cover a few race options like Imperial, Breton, and Dark Elf and explain how each one can push the build in a different direction. By the end, you’ll see why I consider Templar easily one of the top three strongest classes in the game – a tanky brawler that can heal, nuke, and hold its own in just about any situation.

",

Instead of dealing direct damage yourself, you’re summoning and empowering creatures like the Diving Cliff Racer and, later, the Feral Guardian, which quickly becomes the real star of any build. With abilities like Living Vines and Bond with Nature keeping your beasts alive, plus Advanced Species letting them take extra turns, you end up commanding a small army that can shred enemies while you stay relatively safe in the background. It’s a very thematic class, and I found it surprisingly strong once you get the hang of juggling your summons.

In this guide, I go over every ability the Warden has, how the novice and master sides compare, and which races and skill lines pair best with its summoning playstyle. I talk through some of the standout tricks, like using Expert Summoner to pile on damage or Pacify to shut down elusive enemies, and I share how the class plays out in practice with a bit of gameplay at the end. If you’ve ever wanted to play a summoner who leans fully into commanding companions, the Warden is definitely worth a look.

",

While the damage itself might seem modest at first, it’s incredibly useful for chipping away at enemies with troublesome skills like Stalwart, Dodge, or Divert. Among its class abilities, Hunter’s Discipline on the master side stands out as surprisingly helpful in solo play, especially with the bonus health it grants, which can significantly boost your survivability. But my absolute favourite tenacity spender is Lethal Arrow, as a reliable true damage that’s perfect for finishing off tough, high-defence opponents.

Overall, Archer is a very solid class that’s straightforward to play and beginner-friendly. It’s flexible enough to pair well with several races and skill lines, and it provides a clear path for progression as you become more comfortable with its mechanics. In this guide, I walk you through each Archer ability, discuss effective race pairings, recommended skill lines, and even provide a gameplay demonstration to show exactly how the build performs in action.

",

Managing when to gain Necrosis and when to spend it on your abilities turns into this really satisfying little mini-game that runs alongside the main loop. It adds an extra layer of decision-making that I genuinely enjoy. Boneyard is one of my favourites – it completely ignores enemy defence, which makes it way stronger than it might look at first glance. I feel like that one’s still kind of underrated.

But of course, the absolute highlight of this class is Spiritual Guardian. Once summoned, it can persist between battles, and that changes everything. It’s not just a summon you throw away for a single encounter – it sticks around, supports you, and honestly just makes the class feel alive in a really cool way. In the video, I go over every ability on both sides of the class sheet, walk through my solo build, and show how to set things up to keep your Guardian active as long as possible. The fact that you can just resolve any effect from your skill dice without even rolling them is kind of ridiculous. No randomness, no hoping for the right face, just pure control. It completely changes how you build and play, and once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back. But beyond that, the rest of the kit is also excellent. It’s not the flashiest in terms of raw damage, but its support abilities can shift the entire flow of a battle. The real star here, though, is the innate ability – rerolling any one die once per turn is so useful in so many situations. It gives you so much consistency, whether playing in a party or solo. For this build, I leaned fully into that reroll potential and ended up with something that felt a little bit busted, in the best possible way.
