Think Gaming is a depth-focused board game channel built around clarity, strategy, and long-term educational value. I specialise in solo and co-op games, and I prioritise accuracy, thoughtful analysis, and evergreen content over hype topics.
This page is intended for publishers and designers who may be interested in collaborating. If you’re curious whether we might be a good fit, I hope this page gives you a clear overview.
I love creating evergreen video series that break down mechanics, character builds, gameplay tips, and beginner-friendly explainers. The goal is always to help players better understand the rules and strategies, and ultimately have more fun with the game.
If you have a mechanically rich game with high replayability that can be played solo, and it’s at (or close to) the final production stage, feel free to send me a copy. I can’t guarantee coverage, but if I genuinely connect with a game, content tends to follow naturally.
My coverage of The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era is a good example of the depth and structure I aim for, and I’ve created nearly 40 videos for the game (and counting) purely out of passion and enthusiasm.
I prefer to spend a fair amount of time with a new game before making a video to ensure I get the rules right, understand the systems, and experience everything the game has to offer. This often includes playing at different player counts, trying various characters, experimenting with builds and strategies, and sometimes even completing the entire game – before filming even a first impressions video.
All this is to say that, in general, I’m not the best fit if you want to send an early prototype copy for a quick coverage during crowdfunding, especially when the timeline is short. I understand that early coverage during a crowdfunding campaign window is important for many publishers, but I want to be honest upfront.
This probably means I miss some opportunities, and that’s okay. In most cases, I’d much rather accept a final production copy to create deeper videos post-campaign – which are valuable long-term. If you believe your game is a great fit for the channel, you are welcome to get in touch, just please keep in mind that coverage and timelines are not guaranteed.
If you’re looking for a specific video to appear on Think Gaming within a particular timeframe, that may be possible as a sponsored collaboration depending on availability. In that case, the payment covers the time required to produce the video and prioritise it in my schedule – never my opinion. To avoid potential biases, I prefer to take sponsored collaborations for non-opinionated video formats, such as how-to-play videos, explainers, or playthroughs (as opposed to reviews).
Keep in mind I always disclose whether the video is sponsored or not – read more about it on my How I work page.
If you want to create an instructional video or video series, I can produce them for you. This can include how-to-play videos, onboarding tutorials, rules explainers, beginner guides, or other educational material.
Unlike sponsored videos mentioned above, these projects are produced specifically for the publisher’s own channel rather than Think Gaming. They are treated as production work, and the final videos can be uploaded and monetised on the publisher’s YouTube channel.
If any of that sounds interesting to you, feel free to send me an email and tell me more about your game or idea. Either way, thanks for taking the time to read.
